Therapeutic Uses
Nervous tension with rigidity (especially in neck and shoulders), anxiety with physical tension, insomnia in over-thinkers, fever management, respiratory catarrh, liver congestion. North American counterpart to European vervain.

Traditional Preparation Notes
| Herbal Tea | 1–2 tsp dried herb per 250ml, steep 10 min, 3x daily — very bitter |
| Tincture | 2–3 ml (1:5, 25% ethanol), 3x daily |
| Notes | Intensely bitter — tincture often preferred. Very small doses (5–10 drops) can work for some people. Best as fresh plant tincture. Particularly suited to 'tension type A' individuals — rigid, over-achieving, anxious. |
