Therapeutic Uses
Menorrhagia, metrorrhagia, menopausal flooding, PMS (with cramp bark), leucorrhoea, wound healing (topical), diarrhoea, skin conditions. Specific for female reproductive conditions — 'woman's herb' in European tradition.

Contraindications: Avoid large doses in pregnancy. Tannins reduce iron absorption — take away from iron. Otherwise very safe.
Side Effects: Constipation with excessive long-term use (tannins). Reduces iron absorption. Generally very well tolerated.
